Aurora Borealis ry is a volunteer led civic organisation, founded in 2015 and located in Jyväskylä, Finland. We are committed to fostering people’s knowledge about development cooperation. In addition to this, we want to increase cultural cooperation and communication between different countries and nations.
Our current partners are located in Nepal as this country is where our strongest experiences and connections are from. Despite our current focus being in Nepal, we are able and willing to work with other countries, organisations and projects.
We are currently supporting one project in Nepal; the Youth Sponsorship Programme of Loo Niva. Until August of 2020 we were also supporting a rebuilding project in Bholung with Hands for Help Nepal. We aim to have another project to support soon.
In Jyväskylä we are cooperating with JyYK ry (the United Nations Association of Jyväskylä) and JYY (The Student Union of the University of Jyväskylä) to raise funds for our projects.
