Alka
Alka aloitti kauppatieteiden maisteriohjelman vuoden 2021 alussa. Opintojen ohella hän tekee töitä taloushallinnon tehtävissä. Alka on aiemmin joutunut ottamaan lainaa elättääkseen itsensä ja mahdollistamaan opintojensa jatkumisen. Koronapandemian aikana Alkan opinnot siirtyivät verkkoalustoille ja tämä muutos toi paljon ylimääräisiä kuluja perheelle. Alka on kuitenkin ollut iloinen siitä, että hänellä on ollut mahdollisuus osallistua kursseille ja hän on kiitollinen Loo Nivalta saamastaan tuesta. Alka on kokenut saaneensa myös paljon motivaatiota ja rohkaisua Loo Nivalta. Se on tuonut useasti hymyn hänen kasvoilleen ja antanut uusia taitoja esimerkiksi ongelmanratkaisuun ja stressinhallintaan.
Albina
Albina opiskelee kirjanpitäjäksi ja suorittaa samalla kauppatieteiden kandidaatin tutkintoa. Kirjanpitäjän opinnot kestävät neljä ja puoli vuotta ja Albina aikoo samassa ajassa suorittaa myös toisen tutkintonsa kurssit. Albinan sisko työskentelee sairaanhoitajana ja pystyy tukemaan Albinan opintoja osittain. Jotta Albina voi jatkaa opintojaan tarvitsee hän kuitenkin myös Loo Nivan tukea.
Geeta
Geeta on 23-vuotias nuori nainen, joka opiskelee toista vuotta johtamista ja hallintoa. Myös Geetan opinnot siirtyivät pandemian takia etäopetukseen ja verkkokurssien suorittamiseen. Valitettavasti Geetan yliopisto päätti lakkauttaa kyseiset kurssit vähäisen osallistujamäärän takia. Nyt hän suorittaa muita opintoja itsenäisesti ja se on tuonut uusia haasteita Geetan arkeen, sillä kukaan ei ole ohjaamassa tai auttamassa häntä kurssien suhteen. Haasteista huolimatta Geeta on edennyt opinnoissaan hyvin ja saanut hyviä arvosanoja. Hän on myös saanut harjoittelupaikan paikallisessa pankissa. Geeta asuu yhdessä isän, äidin, vanhemman siskon ja nuoremman veljen kanssa. Perheellä on tiukka taloudellinen tilanne, sillä Geetan isosisko on tällä hetkellä ainoa, joka voi työskennellä. Loo Nivan tuesta on ollut Geetalle suuri apu ja hän kiittää sekä Loo Nivaa että ohjelman muita sponsoreita.
Shree Krishna
Shree Krishna on 21-vuotias kauppatieteiden ja liiketalouden opiskelija. Hän asuu äitinsä kanssa Lalitpurin alueella ja suorittaa opintoja etänä. Opintojensa ohella Shree Krishna työskentelee vakuutusyhtiössä. Hän nauttii työstään ja on kiitollinen siitä, että hänellä on mahdollisuus kerryttää käytännön kokemusta ja asiantuntijuutta omalta alalta. Pandemian aikana Shree Krishna sai COVID-19 tartunnan, mikä aiheutti paljon epävarmuutta ja stressiä. Loo Nivan ja perheen tuen avulla hankalasta tilanteesta selvittiin ja hän jatkaa töiden ja opiskelujen parissa entistäkin keskittyneemmin.
Ritik
Ritik on 20-vuotias sosiaalityön opiskelija, joka on siirtynyt koronapandemian myötä etäopiskeluun. Ritik on ollut aktiivisesti mukana erilaisten järjestöjen toiminnassa, myös Loo Nivassa. Hän on jakanut tietouttaan ja taitojaan ja saanut käytännön kokemusta sosiaalityöstä osallistumalla erilaisiin hyvinvointi- ja nuorisoprojekteihin. Ritikin veli joutui keskeyttämään opinnot taloudellisten ongelmien takia ja pelko omien opintojen keskeytyksestä vaivasi myös Ritikiä. Loo Nivan ja yhteistyökumppaneilta saadun tuen takia Ritik on kuitenkin voinut jatkaa opintojaan ja on siitä kiitollinen.
Suraj
Suraj on 23-vuotias ja hän asuu isän, äidin ja nuoren veljensä kanssa. Suraj joutui jo aiemmin keskeyttämään opintonsa vuodeksi perheen huonon taloudellisen tilanteen takia. Suraj kertoo, että hän tulee aina muistamaan päivän kun Loo Nivan tuki myönnettiin hänelle. Tuen avulla hän pystyi jatkamaan opintojaan ja viimeistelemään tutkintonsa informaatioteknologian parissa. Nyt Suraj on päättänyt keskittyä töihin, jotta hän voi tukea perhettään ja kerryttää käytännön kokemusta omasta alastaan.

Alka
Alka started a master’s degree programme in business administration in early 2021. In addition to her studies, she works in financial administration. Alka has previously had to take out loans to support herself and enable her studies to continue. During the pandemic, Alka’s studies moved to online platforms and this change caused a lot of extra costs to the family. However, Alka has been delighted to have the opportunity to attend the courses and she is grateful for the support she has received from Loo Niva. Alka has also received a lot of motivation and encouragement from Loo Niva which has brought a smile to her face and developed new skills, such as problem-solving and coping with stress.
Albina
Albina is studying to become an accountant and is also pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Accountant studies are scheduled to last four and a half years, and Albina plans to complete her second degree courses in the same time frame. Albina’s sister works as a nurse and is able to support Albina’s studies a bit. However, for Albina to continue her studies, she also needs support from Loo Niva.
Geeta
Geeta is a 23-year-old young woman who is in her second year of management and administration studies. Geeta’s studies shifted to online courses due to the covid-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, her university decided to discontinue these courses due to limited number of participants. Now Geeta is taking other studies independently and this has brought new challenges to her daily life, as there is no one to guide or help her with the courses. Despite the challenges, Geeta has progressed well in her studies and received good grades. She has also been given an internship at a local bank. Geeta lives with her father, mother, older sister and younger brother. The family is in a tight financial situation as Geeta’s older sister is the only one who can work at the moment. Loo Niva’s support has been a great help to Geeta and she thanks both Loo Niva and the other sponsors of the project.
Shree Krishna
Shree Krishna is a 21-year-old business and economics student. She lives with her mother in Lalitpur district and studies remotely. In addition to her studies, Shree Krishna works for an insurance company. She enjoys her work and is grateful that she has the opportunity to gain practical experience and expertise in her field. During the pandemic, Shree Krishna was infected with COVID-19 and it caused a lot of uncertainty and stress. With the help of Loo Niva and the support of the family, the difficult situation was resolved and now she continues to work and study with even greater focus.
Ritik
Ritik is a 20-year-old social work student who studies remotely. Ritik has been actively involved in the activities of various organisations, including Loo Niva. She has shared her knowledge and skills with others and gained practical experience in social work by participating in various wellbeing and youth projects. Ritik’s brother had to drop of school out due to financial problems, and the fear of having to leave her studies made Ritik worry as well. However, because of the support received from Loo Niva and the partners, Ritik has been able to continue her studies and is grateful for it.
Suraj
Suraj is 23 years old and lives with her father, mother and young brother. She had to drop out of her studies a year earlier because of the poor financial situation in the family. Suraj says she will always remember the day the she was granted Loo Niva’s support. It enabled her to continue her studies and complete her degree in information technology. Now Suraj has decided to focus on work so she can support her family and gain practical experience in the field.
